BELLE CHASSE, LA (WVUE) - A former Belle Chasse High School teacher has bonded out of jail after his Oct. 24 arrest for computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

A criminal investigation of 24-year-old Lane Christian Pace was initiated on Oct. 13 after the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office was notified by the parish School Board of a possible inappropriate relationship between Pace, who was a teacher and coach at Belle Chasse High, and a 17-year-old female student. The investigation revealed the alleged relationship began between the two when the student was about 15 years old.

Pace posted $50,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed, according to the Sheriff's Office.
