Today's Big Ten football news features an expert poll of the league's best uniforms and a look at an officiating change that could impact Indiana's fast-paced offense. The BTN.com uniforms poll has Penn State pegged as the third-best in the conference behind Ohio State and Michigan. One panelist had the Nittany Lions' simple blue and white scheme as No. 10 in the league.

Big Ten officiating crews will use an eighth official this season, which is in part a response to the Hoosiers' up-tempo offense. The extra official will be positioned downfield and help monitor offensive and defensive substitutions.
