Update (Feb. 16): The initial lineup of bands has been announced including Jeff Tweedy, Mike Gordon, Trampled by Turtles, Billy Strings, Fruition, Rayland Baxter, Joshua Davis and Cris Jacobs Band, with more to be announced.

WELLSTON, MI -- Greensky Bluegrass will headline three nights at a new festival in northern Michigan, and the band announced details of the location today.

Formed in 2000 in Kalamazoo, Greensky Bluegrass will host the first of its kind "Camp Greensky" festival on May 31 and June 1 - 2, at the Hoxeyville Festival Grounds in Wellston, Michigan.

Greensky Bluegrass was formed with Dave Bruzza on guitar, Mike Bont on banjo and Paul Hoffman on mandolin. Mike Devol joined in 2004 on bass and Anders Beck joined on dobro (slide guitar) in 2007, according to a band representative.

They played 110 shows in 2017, including three nights at Bell's Eccentric Cafe Beer Garden in Kalamazoo and two nights at the Kalamazoo State Theatre in November with May Erlewine.

Sometimes described as a "jamgrass" band, Greensky Bluegrass will join other bands at the festival, to be announced in the future.

"We've been dreaming about this for a very long time and we would love for you to come and be a part of making that dream a reality. It'll be fun. We promise!" a Facebook post on the band's account reads.

The festival will also host "a small selection of hand curated artists" during the weekend, with details yet to be announced.

The Camp Greensky festival will be a part of the 2018 tour that includes dates across the country, including a headlining show at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Hoxeyville Productions is putting on the festival. Greensky Bluegrass has played at the location in previous years at the Hoxeyville festival.

Camp Greensky will come days after the May 26-27 Summer Camp Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois, where Greensky Bluegrass will play with other acts including moe., Umphrey's McGee and Phil Lesh.

Three-day passes for the festival are on sale for $163.50 and fans can request tickets now.

A public sale will begin at noon ET on Friday, Feb. 16.
