Eagle-eyed viewers of Taylor Swift’s most recent music video for “Delicate” noticed that gay porn star Kevin Falk was featured as an actor in the singer’s video, playing one of her bodyguards escorting her into a hotel.
But adult film stars have been performing in music videos for years. For many performers in the porn industry, being featured in music videos is a great way to gain more exposure to a wider audience, another opportunity to flex their acting chops, and more simply, another opportunity to make money in an industry that doesn’t pay all that well.
So, in honor of Taylor’s new video, here are 10 other popular music videos that feature porn stars.
Troye Sivan, “My My My!”
Trending on Billboard
The Australian pop sensation caught headlines when he debuted his sexual, steamy video for “My My My!” But what many fans may not have noticed is that one of the dancers in Sivan’s video is Brody Blomqvist, an adult film star for the website Cockyboys who performs under the name Justin Brody. The star can be seen dancing and grinding through the background throughout the video.
Lady Gaga, “Telephone”
The Mother of Monsters is known for making insanely ambitious and glamorous music videos for her songs, and perhaps there is no better example of that than “Telephone,” a nine-minute epic featuring Lady Gaga in some of her most iconic outfits, strutting her way through a prison. What some fans may not know is that at least two of the actresses taunting Gaga at the video’s outset, Jessica Drake and Alekra Blue, found their fame as established actresses in the adult film industry.
Madonna, “Music”
Madonna has been making headlines since she got her start in music, with many crowning her as one of the most legendary sex symbols in American pop history. So it’s only appropriate that in the 2009 video for the song “Music,” Czech adult film actress Dasha made an appearance as a stripper, giving Madonna a lap dance at a club.
Maroon 5, “Wake Up Call”
Before she was making headlines for her alleged affair with Donald Trump, Stormy Daniels was a prominent actress in the porn industry. Her work extended beyond adult films, however — she was featured in Maroon 5’s video for their hit song “Wake Up Call.” In a 2007 interview with AVN, Daniels said that she was cautious about doing the video. “I was a little nervous, because I didn’t know how much footage of me they were going to use,” she said. “But they used quite a bit, so I’m pretty excited.”
Taylor Swift, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
Like we said, this isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has worked with actors from adult films. In the video for her 2012 hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” audiences can catch a glimpse of porn actor Mike de Marko during the big party scene of Taylor’s video, where a nearby party-goer pours glitter all over him as he dances to the beat.
LMFAO, “Sexy and I Know It”
In their absurd music video for the inherently sill song “Sexy and I Know It,” LMFAO shot on entire video of men dancing around a seaside street shaking their junk for the camera. One of those men was legendary porn actor Ron Jeremy, who gets a short feature in the video as a bystander who joins the fun.
Eminem, “Space Bound”
Rapper Eminem has a solid history of featuring adult film stars in a number of his music videos. But in “Space Bound,” porn actress Sasha Grey starred opposite Eminem as his love interest, getting a lot more to do in terms of acting than many of the other actresses featured in the rapper’s videos.
Blink-182, “What’s My Age Again?”
When punk-pop princes Blink-182 released their iconic music video for “What’s My Age Again?” their aim was to be provocative. The video follows the band running around in public completely naked, along with featuring adult film actress Janine Lindemulder, who was not only a prominent part in the video, but posed as the model on the band’s cover art for their album Enema of the State.
The Roots, “Birthday Girl”
Another video prominently featuring the talents of Sasha Gray, The Roots’ “Birthday Girl” features the adult film actress in the titular role, as a girl inviting friends over to her birthday part and accepting their gifts throughout the video.
Metallica, “Turn the Page”
Metallica’s video for their somber cover of Bob Seger’s “Turn the Page” tells the story of a stripper trying to make ends meet to provide for her daughter. That stripper was played by actress Ginger Lynn, who became a stalwart name in the porn industry in the 1980s. AVN recognized her for her talent and contributions to the adult film industry by placing her at No. 7 on their list of the 50 Top Porn Stars of All Time.
