Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: The celebrities taking part in the new series have been revealed [BBC]

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One next month for a brand new instalment.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas , Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli are all set to return as whole new host of celebrities take to the dance floor, while Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back to host. 

Plenty of stars had been rumoured for the show, but now the contestants taking part in the upcoming season have finally been revealed.

Katie Piper

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: Katie Piper has been confirmed

TV star Katie Piper was unveiled as the first Strictly contestant for 2018 and speaking of the news on BBC Breakfast, she admitted he had known "quite a while" and struggled to keep it secret.

She admitted : "It's been really hard with colleagues saying, 'I'm getting married in October and I'd love for you to be there'....You know when you're so excited about something you wanna share it with everyone."

Faye Tozer

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: Faye Tozer will be taking to dancefloor on the upcoming series

Faye Tozer confirmed her Strictly stint on The One Show on Monday evening, with the star joining hosts Alex Jones and Matt Baker on the evening programme.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Claire Richards' bandmate apologised to friends and family for denying she would be on the series, saying she was forced to "lie to so many people" until the big reveal.

Danny John-Jules

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules has also been confirmed

Red Dwarf and former Death In Paradise star Danny John-Jules actor has also been revealed for the series, following his exit from the ITV drama earlier this year.

The actor joined Steps singer Faye Tozer on The One Show on Monday night, where both stars were confirmed for the show.

Joe Sugg

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: Joe Sugg is the first blogger to take part in the show

Joe Sugg was the fourth contestant to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

The blogger, 26, was unveiled on BBC Radio One's Breakfast Show on Monday morning, with DJ Scott Mills and Chris Stark standing in for new host Greg James to break the news.

Talking of his role on the show Joe, who will be the first blogger to star on the series, quipped: "For a lot of people they will think 'who?', which is understandable, as I have only popped up for the last six years.

"The show is a big part of my growing up and it's been a big part of my growing up back in the day."

Vick Hope

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestants: Vick Hope is the fifth contestant confirmed

Vick Hope is the fifth contestant who has joined the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

The Capital FM DJ was unveiled on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Twitter page on Wednesday, when the account uploaded a simple video message showing the brunette's face and accompanied by the iconic show theme tune.

A caption alongside read: "Our next #Strictly Hope-ful knows her way around the decks, but how about the dancefloor? Not long until we find out, Vick Hope!"

Graeme Swann

Former England cricketer Graeme Swann has been confirmed for the cast.

Speaking about the show, he said: "I spent my career enjoying the excitement of performing in front of crowds and cameras.

"It's a bizarre pressure that makes you sink or swim and I've missed it since having to retire from cricket."

Dr Ranj Singh

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 has confirmed the seventh contestant joining the line-up as Dr Ranj Singh.

The TV medic was unveiled on ITV daytime show This Morning, with hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes breaking the news to viewers.

Stacey Dooley

BBC Three reporter and documentary maker Stacey Dooley has been confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2018.

The news was shared on Strictly Come Dancing's official Twitter page with a picture of the star with the caption: "Stacey Dooley's next investigation: who will be her #Strictly dance partner? All we know is that @StaceyDooley's joining our glittering 2018 line-up!"

Revealing how excited she is to be joining the show, Stacey said: "I'm looking forward to throwing myself completely into it all."

Ashley Roberts

Ashley Roberts is the ninth contestant who has joined the Strictly Come Dancing line-up, the BBC have confirmed.

Revealing that she only learned of her show selection recently, Ashley said: "When I got the call I was super excited. I miss performing and I am excited to learn a new style of dance as the Latin and Ballroom world is foreign to me."

Kate Silverton

BBC Newsreader Kate Silverton was announced as the tenth celebrity on the line-up during an episode of The One Show.

Speaking about the show, Kate revealed: "I love dancing and I love the joyfulness of the programme itself.

"I am really looking forward to doing something I have never done before, which is to learn how to dance, take part in an entertainment show and generally immerse myself in a very different world to one I am used to!"

Seann Walsh

Comedian Seann Walsh was announced on The One Show alongside Kate.

He admitted: "It's just something that I and no one I know would expect me to do. Everyone looks like they're having so much fun on it. It makes me laugh every time I imagine doing it."

Lee Ryan

Lee Ryan was revealed as the thirteenth to the line-up, with the exciting news being revealed on Loose Women.

The announcement was teased throughout the episode of ITV's daytime show, before Lee was unveiled to the audience and joined the panel to talk about the upcoming challenge.

Speaking to the hosts, the Blue singer laughed off questions about the infamous "Strictly curse" as he told the ladies: "I'm single, I'm sweet!"

Lauren Steadman

Paralympian Lauren Steadman was the fourteenth contestant who joined the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line-up.

Lauren, 25, has competed in three Paralympics as a Paratriathlete and gushed: "I still don't think it has properly sunk in that I'm actually going to be part of this year's Strictly!

"I have loved the show since I was young, and it's a huge thing to tick off my bucket list. I'm more nervous about being on stage, performing live and in front of the judges than I am about the Elite Paratriathlon Grand Final next month!"

Susannah Constantine

Susannah Constantine was announced as one of the final two stars who will be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2018.

Ahead of the return of the new series, it was announced on Good Morning Britain  that the What Not To Wear presenter is going to be showing off their fancy footwork on the show.

Speaking about her impending appearance on BBC show, Susannah commented: "I hope to prove pigs can fly (dance). Sick with nerves and jangling with excitement."

Susannah was best known for working alongside fellow fashion pal and This Morning  fashion guru Trinny Woodall on What Not to Wear from 2001 to 2005 before they moved to ITV to make Trinny & Susannah Undress, and Undress the Nation.

Charles Venn

Casualty actor Charles Venn, who also starred in EastEnders as Ray Dixon, was the final star to be confirmed for the 2018 Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

Revealing how excited he is to be joining the show, Charles said: "It's truly is a pleasure to be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, to be associated with a show that has such a huge following excites and scares me in equal measure!

"Dancing on Strictly is going to be quite a challenge but life's all about testing yourself so there's lots to look forward to, let the games begin..!”

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One next month.
