Montclair Police: Theft From Church Pumpkin Sale, Shop Burglary

A burglary took place at a shop on Valley Road, and local church saw a theft at its pumpkin sale, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A burglary to a shop on Valley Road and a theft from a local church’s pumpkin sale were among the incidents reported to Montclair police last week, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:

  • Oct. 10 – (Balonze, Valley Road) “Burglary to a commercial establishment. Approximately $1,200 in cash was stolen in this incident. Entry was gained through a rear door.”
  • Oct. 14 - (St. Luke’s church, S. Fullerton Avenue) “Theft of an envelope containing approximately $106 in proceeds from their pumpkin sale.”
