Trump campaign manager: Kellyanne Conway’s husband ‘jealous of her success’

President Trump’s re-election campaign manager Brad Parscale took a shot at White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband after he made headlines for questioning the president’s mental health.

In a tweet Monday evening, Parscale said George Conway, a conservative lawyer who is a vocal critic of Trump, is “jealous” of his wife’s success and is undermining her career.

“We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!” Parscale said.

Earlier in the morning, George Conway suggested Trump has narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder by tweeting out their respective pages from the fifth edition Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders by the American Psychiatric Association.

On Sunday, responding to a frenzy of tweets from the president on a variety of subjects, ranging from the possibility of a federal investigation into “Saturday Night Live” to criticizing the late Sen. John McCain, Conway said, “His condition is getting worse.”

Asked to respond to her husband’s tweets by reporters outside the West Wing, Kellyanne Conway said, “No, I don’t share those concerns.”

“I have four kids and I was getting them out of the house this morning to talk to the president about substance, so I may not be up to speed on all” his tweets, she added.

In 2017 it was widely reported that George Conway, a partner at the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, declined to accept a job at the Justice Department. In an interview with Yahoo News podcast “Skullduggery” last year, he said he declined because he believed the administration was like a “shitshow in a dumpster fire.”

Conway has previously been called out by Trump’s inner circle for his anti-Trump tweets.

“Of all the ugliness in politics, the utter disrespect George Conway shows toward his wife, her career, place of work, and everything she has fought SO hard to achieve, might top them all. @KellyannePolls is great person and frankly his actions are horrible,” Trump’s son Eric Trump tweeted in December.

Kellyanne Conway, who led Trump’s 2016 campaign to victory, has characterized her husband’s comments as “disrespectful.”

“I feel there’s a part of him that thinks I chose Donald Trump over him,” Kellyanne Conway said in an interview with the Washington Post. “Which is ridiculous. One is my work and one is my marriage.”
