The 2,754-passenger Carnival Victory on Sunday emerged from a makeover that brought new eateries, bars and more.

Another Carnival cruise ship has just emerged from a makeover.

Miami-based Carnival Victory on Sunday resumed sailings from the city with several new food and drink venues as well as new cabin categories that were added during a multiweek overhaul in the Bahamas.

Upgrades to the 2,754-passenger vessel included the addition of Guy’s Burger Joint, a poolside burger venue developed in partnership with the Food Network's Guy Fieri that has been rolling out across the Carnival fleet.

Also new is the BlueIguana Cantina, a poolside Mexican eatery that offers burritos and tacos on home-made tortillas and an extensive toppings and salsa bar. It's another venue that has been debuting across the Carnival fleet.

Other additions include BlueIguana Tequila Bar, a Mexican-themed, pool-side bar serving frozen drinks and beer; and RedFrog Rum Bar, another poolside venue that specializes in rum-based frozen drinks.

New cabins include 260-square-foot Scenic Ocean View rooms and 320-square-foot Scenic Grand Ocean View rooms. Also new are Captain’s Suites — spacious, 820-square-foot cabins with large extended balconies. Each of the Captain's Suites has two full-size bathrooms, separate sleeping quarters and a large living room.

The Victory makeover took place at the Grand Bahama Shipyard on Grand Bahama Island.

Unveiled in 2000, Victory is one of Carnival's Destiny Class vessels. It sails year-round out of Miami on three- and four-night trips to the Bahamas. It also operates four-night voyages to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico.
