Tamannaah Bhatia to attend Arts for India charity event at BAFTA!

An established UK charity named Arts for India has announced that popular screen icon Vanessa Redgrave will be honoured during the Golden Gala on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the iconic London landmark, BAFTA.

London: An established UK charity named Arts for India has announced that popular screen icon Vanessa Redgrave will be honoured during the Golden Gala on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the iconic London landmark, BAFTA.

The 'Baahubali' fame actress Tamannaah Bhatia will also be attending the Arts for India charity event for the welfare of underprivileged children at the iconic London Landmark BAFTA 195 Piccadilly on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

The star-studded evening will be hosted by the gorgeous Bollywood star, Amy Jackson. The event will consist of a champagne reception, dinner, auction and awards ceremony, with all proceeds going on to help young students get the education they deserve. Academy Award winning actress, Vanessa Redgrave CBE (Julia, Isadora, Mission: Impossible, Atonement) will be awarded during the evening with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’, recognising her outstanding contribution to the film industry.

Previous Arts for India awardees include Lord Richard Attenborough, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Goldie Hawn and Dame Joan Collins among others.

She has acted in nearly 50 films in three different languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi & established herself as the iconic actresses in the Indian film cinema.

She is a truly talented actress and we have long admired her career on screen,” said Arts for India Founder, Satish Modi.  “We are also proud to be supported by BAFTA once more, who I know appreciate the work we do for education in the film industry.  The Golden Gala is a prestigious philanthropic event bringing together fiscally responsible organisations, resources, celebrities, people of influence and synchronistic brands to have a transformative global impact on the Arts.” 

Arts For India provide further education for underprivileged students studying at the International Institute of Fine Arts (IIFA), Modinagar, National Capital Region Delhi, through sponsorships.  Their mission is to lift disadvantaged young Indian teenagers out of poverty through the provision of education in Art and Creative design to a global standard.
