SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego's weekend is ready to celebrate everything from Cinco de Mayo to renaissance history.

Cinco de Mayo brings back Fiesta Old Town to San Diego's historic neighborhood, with live music, food, Folklorico performances, and much more over the entire weekend.

San Diego's Asian Cultural Festival also returns this weekend, celebrating Asian Pacific heritage with cultural exhibits, food, martial arts demonstrations and more.

CINCO DE MAYO:

In what's called the largest one-day street fair in the country, Carlsbad's Spring Village Fair is back, packing 850 vendors, children's rides, international foods, and more into town.

Here's a look at everything happening around the county this weekend:

 

THURSDAY

Disney on Ice: Frozen

Where: Valley View Casino Center; Cost: $17.50 - $77.50

(Runs Thursday - Sunday) Disney on Ice returns to Valley View Casino Center with "Frozen"! Your favorite characters from "Frozen" and other Disney flicks will follow Queen Elsa on a wintery journey to bring back summer (which is very important to us in San Diego.)

 

Cards Against Humanity Tournament

Where: Duck Foot Brewing; Cost: Free

Have a raunchy sense of humor that seems to glow in a match of Cards Against Humanity? Duck Foot Brewing in Miramar is hosting a tournament for you! Space for teams is limited and the winning team gets a 50 Duck Foot Gift certificate. If you can't sign up, why not head over and enjoy some laughs?


FRIDAY

Fiesta Old Town Cinco De Mayo

Where: Old Town; Cost: Free

(Runs Friday - Sunday) One of San Diego's biggest Cinco de Mayo celebrations can be found in Old Town, where there will be food, music, and dancing throughout the weekend! Be sure to check out the lowrider showcase, Lucha Libre matches, children’s activities.

 

Southern California Beach Soccer Championships

Where: 1200 N Pacific St., Oceanside; Cost: Free to view

(Runs Friday - Sunday) It's too late to sign up yourself, but you can still head to Oceanside to enjoy a day on the coast with soccer! The annual beach soccer festival is a competitive tournament for regional and worldwide teams and also a family-friendly event on Harbor Beach.


SATURDAY

9th annual Asian Cultural Festival of San Diego

Where: Mira Mesa Community Park; Cost: Free

San Diego's Asian Cultural Festival features two stages of cultural and traditional performances children’s art and crafts, martial arts and cooking demos, a ramen eating contest, cultural exhibitions and more!

 

Escondido Renaissance Faire

Where: Felicita Park; Cost: $10 - $20

Royals, fairies, pirates, and knights will all be out at Escondido's Renaissance Faire this weekend! Two stages of live entertainment will thrust guests into the past and delicious foods and crafts will bring history to life.


SUNDAY

10th Annual Miracle Babies 5K

Where: Liberty Station NTC Park; Cost: Free - $45

Lace up your running shoes and help support infants in San Diego NICUs at the annual Miracle Babies 5K. The run includes a fair with more after the race, including live entertainment, obstacle courses and a bounce house, arts and crafts, and more!

 

Carlsbad Spring Village Fair

Where: Grand Avenue (between Carlsbad Blvd. and Jefferson St.); Cost: Free

More than 850 unique vendors will be out in Carlsbad showing off clothing, antiques, and more at Carlsbad's village fair! Kids can enjoy children's rides and an international food center will keep the whole family happy in what's billed as the largest one-day street fair in the country.
