EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Centreville Bulldogs will play for a MHSAA Girls Softball Division Four state championship on Saturday after they defeated Unionville-Sebawaing 4-0 in the Friday semifinals.
Centreville opened the scoring in the fourth on a wild pitch. They took advantage of a couple of errors as they added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Two of the runs were unearned. Joanna Larsen had the only RBI for the Bulldogs. Winning pitcher Hannah Duchene tossed a four hitter and struck out eight.
The 35-6 Bulldogs will face Coleman (30-9) at 5:30 p.m. for the title. Coleman advanced with a 2-0 victory over Rogers City.
