Kyle and Jackie O reveal what almost tore them apart... as they admit radio executives were 'freaking out' that they would END their long-running partnership
Kylie Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson are Australia's most popular radio duo, having worked together for almost two decades.
But on Thursday, the pair recalled how their partnership almost ended around 2009, with the two stars in vastly different stages of their lives.
'You lost interest in being friends with me,' Jackie recalled of the period, in which Kyle was struggling with marital problems and a cocaine addiction, while she was loved-up and ready for motherhood.

As Kyle spoke candidly about his drug dependency, Jackie said: 'You should have spoken to me'.
'You were as fat as a house [pregnant], you were loved up... I still thought you were great...,' Kyle trailed off.
'But you lost interest in being friends with me,' Jackie bluntly stated.

In 2008, Kyle married singer Tamara Jaber, however the relationship quickly headed south.
In contrast, Jackie was happily married to photographer, Lee Henderson, whom she wed in 2003. They welcomed daughter, Kitty, in 2010.
As Kyle's drug addiction and relationship woes continued, he took much time off work.

'There was a period, I think, where you having a lot of sick days,' Jackie recalled.
Kyle then stated: 'I think the CEO once said I'd had thirty-something sick days for half and year, and I thought "Oh, someone's counting?'''
'Yeah darl, they were counting! Trust me! They were freaking out!' Jackie replied.
These days, the radio duo are stronger than ever, with the number one FM breakfast program in Sydney.
And Kyle's dark days are well and truly behind him, as he referenced his brand new show, Trial By Kyle, saying: 'How the world changes! Just to show you can get out of any rut you're in!'
