OMG. Yes. It's finally here.

If you're a fan of Egyptian-American actor Rami Malek and American actor Christian Slater, then you're in for a treat.

The duo are back for a second season of the dark TV series Mr. Robot, and the show's creator Sam Esmail has just released the long-awaited trailer.

Looks like Elliott Alderson (Malek) is struggling with memory loss and can't remember exactly what happened after he left us on the edge of our seats in the season one finale.

“Remember the night of the hack? Remember what happened to you?” Mr. Robot (Slater) asks. “All I remember is I woke up three days later,” Elliot says.

So we're in the dark as much as our friend Elliott.

What we do know though, from the trailer, is that whatever Elliott managed to achieve from his hack, has had devastating effects on the country.

In the trailer, a concerned President Barack Obama addresses a press conference discussing the ramifications of the hack.

“There hasn’t been anything like this in the past. This is going to be affecting our economy in ways that are extraordinarily significant.” Obama says. But is this a cameo from the US President or just a brilliant editing job?

The rest of the trailer jumps from one scene to another that clearly indicate that Elliott will be in danger this July.

The trailer closes with the message, "control is an illusion."

“Our revolution needs a leader,” Mr. Robot tells Elliott.

Will Elliott be mentally stable enough to assume that role when the award-winning show returns on 13 July 2016?
