RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University volleyball senior Cassie Knutson has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
 
The San Diego, California native recorded 43 kills on .302 hitting as EKU topped conference opponents Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State this weekend.
 
Knutson recorded a 22 kill, 12 dig double-double against the Golden Eagles before collecting 21 kills against the Gamecocks. She added 10 assists and six blocks on the weekend.
 
The Colonels will be back in action on Wednesday at Morehead State University. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
