Roundup: NWF State moves to 10-0 on season

The NWF State men's basketball team wins regardless of the location.

The latest was Thursday's 108-100 victory over Harcum (6-1) at Monroe College, where six Raiders scored in double figures to move NWF State to 10-0.

Chris Duarte recorded a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double for the second-ranked Raiders, who got 24 points and seven rebounds from Karim Ezzedine and 22 points and nine assists from Andres Feliz.

Tray Boyd III added 11 points and four assists, Kelvin Robinson had 10 points and eight rebounds and DJ Funderburk chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Next up for the Raiders is Harford College today at 2 p.m.

Girls Basketball

Choctaw 71, Rickards 63

Choctaw won the battle of the unbeatens Thursday at the TeePee.

Amber Leggett scored 19 points, Natalia Brown delivered 16 and Alexis Becker added 13 to carry the 3-0 Indians over 5-0 Rickards.

Kassandra Fairly added nine points for the Indians, who host Walton today at 6:30 p.m.

Baker 64, Chipley 32

Kashira Casey had a team-high 17 points, Jessica Black delivered 13 points and Ayajah Coleman had 10 points and eight rebounds to lift the Gators (1-2) to the district win.

Kaitlyn Watts chipped in 10 points and five rebounds and Izzy Cain added 10 points for the Gators, who led 19-7 after the first quarter, 29-17 at halftime and 47-24 headed into the fourth quarter.

Baker travels to Laurel Hill for a 6 p.m. tipoff tonight.

Holmes County 54, Paxton 51

Genesis Long had 18 points and Hailee Bryan added 13 points in the tight loss.

Boys Basketball

Pensacola Christian 57, Freeport 54

Case Woodard delivered 20 points and Wesley Canaday added 18 points in the loss. The Bulldogs (1-1) travel to Florala on Tuesday.

Navarre 80, Escambia 42

Andre Smith paced the Raiders with 30 points and Matthew Harshany added 29 points to move the Raiders to 2-0.

Girls Soccer

Navarre 2, Tate 1

Kiliegh Whited scored two goals on assists from Marissa Kelley and Jennifer Seward and the Raiders improved to 7-0-2 (5-0-1) in the district win.
