Sounds Like San Diego: February 20

Tune-Yards headline the Observatory North Park Tuesday

I can't tell you how much I love Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards. It would be hard to argue that anyone in indie-rock is more boundary-pushing than she, and every record she releases is better and better and timely and political and delicious ear candy. Tonight they return to the Observatory North Park and it's a show not to be missed. But it's hard, because Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are back at the Casbah and they're celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their huge breakout record, "Some Loud Thunder." Around town, Palehound plays at Soda Bar, Potato Wave hold the top spot on local Tuesdays with Tim Pyles at the Merrow, and Daikaiju headline Tower Bar.
