Klopper

Joy Klopper (nee Baach), 92, died in Rancho Mirage, Calif. on March 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 2000.

She was born and raised in Louisville, Ky., by parents, Ruth and Leo Baach, with her brothers, Buddy and Jack.

For 45 years, she lived in Cleveland and raised her family. She was involved in many charities, including the National Council of Jewish Women, Menorah Park, the women’s auxiliary of Mount Sinai Hospital and the Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple sisterhood.

In 1983, she was honored to serve as president of the Cleveland Women’s Golf Association, which has 1,600 members. She loved every minute of it.

In Rancho Village, she was a member of Mission Hills and Temple Sinai. She also volunteered at Eisenhower Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Jill (Leo) Stanley of Cape Coral, Fla., Paul (Barbara) Klopper of Santa Rosa, Calif. and Nancy Klopper of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; grandson, Aaron (Kineret) Stanley; and great-granddaughter, Madeleine Stanley of Oakland, Calif.

Services were private.

With equal fervor, Joy loved golf, bridge, smoking, gambling, vodka, her friends, and her dogs, Cotton and Poker, but most of all, her loving family.
