The stunning picture was captured by wildlife photographer Richard Bowler, who snapped it after spotting the adorable brood lined on top of his wooden stable door in Corwen, north Wales, on Sunday 17 June
He said: 'The swallows that nest in our stables have fledged their first brood of the year. They normally have three broods during the summer.
'The young have been perched on the stable door waiting to be fed.' Swallows are a family of birds found across the world on all continents apart from Antarctica, with around 83 different species.
They typically eat insects including moths, flies and mosquitos - sometimes eating more than 100 bugs a day due to their voracious appetites.
The birds are often found nesting under the eaves of houses, with their numbers growing drastically over the summer. The Barn Swallow spends around 6 months in the UK, from April till October.
