16-year-old boy dies in single car accident near Zellwood

A 16-year-old boy died Thursday afternoon after the car he was in crashed into a pole near Zellwood, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Seth Hoover of Mount Dora was in a car driven by 19-year-old Amen Allah of Apopka.

Allah was driving east on Ponkan Road near Golden Gem Road when he lost control.

The car hit a curb before going across the westbound lanes and hit a pole on the side of the road before flipping over.

Seth was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka where he died.

Three other passengers, all minors, also suffered injuries.

Allah had minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
