Myron Emmanuel Lett, COGIC elder, dead from the coronavirus

Myron Emmanuel Lett, 71, tested positive for COVID-19 and departed this life on March 25, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. He was born Feb. 28, 1949 in Detroit to the late Henry and Elizabeth Lett.

Myron graduated from Eastern High School in Detroit in 1967 and retired after more than 30 years from DTE.

He was the founder and President of the Wise Men Christian Counsel in 1983 and became an ordained Elder of COGIC in the Northeast District under the late Bishop P.A Brooks in 1997.

Myron and his wife, Toni Lett, founded Salvation and Praise Outreach Ministries COGIC where he was Senior Pastor in 2014. In 2017, he was ordained as Superintendent of the Lighthouse District MI Historic 1st Jurisdiction.

Myron had a heart of gold, he loved helping people who were less fortunate through actions of delivering food baskets and other necessities throughout the community. His love and compassion for God’s children was his drive to travel around the world to minister to those who were willing to listen.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, his wife, Toni; daughters Damitra, Erica (Edward), Tanaya (Tommy), Amira, Myesha, Taneka, Teva, Takia; sons Jamel and Eric (Tithesa).
