A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected along the coastal areas of both the Northern Cape and West Coast District of the Western Cape until Friday.

Gauteng: Fine and warm but cool in places in the south-east.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the morning in the east with fog patches on the eastern highgrounds, becoming partly cloudy but fine in the west.

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, becoming partly cloudy but fine and warm in the west.

North West: Fine and warm but cool in places.

Northern Cape: Fine and warm, but hot to very hot along the coast and adjacent interior. It will be cool in places in the south-east.

The wind along the coast will be light easterly becoming moderate easterly to south-easterly during the afternoon.

Western Cape: Hot to very hot in places over the western interior, otherwise fine and warm but cool along the south coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly but fresh to strong between Cape Point and Cape Agulhas.

Eastern Cape: Cloudy along the coast, otherwise fine and cool but warm along the Wild Coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly from mid-morning.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog patches over the western interior, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the east. It will become partly cloudy in the east later. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
