Teen crashes car in Lexington sending several people to the hospital

LEXINGTON, KY. (WTVQ)-Lexington police say a 15-year old driver caused a crash that sent several people to the hospital Friday night.

Police say it happened around 7:45 PM on Leestown Road at Alexandria Drive.

Investigators say the teen, who did not have a driver’s license, pulled into the path of an SUV as it tried to make a turn.

Police say a person in the SUV was ejected during the crash and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were four kids in the SUV who were taken to the hospital to be checked out, according to police.

Investigators say there were three juveniles in the van driven by the 15-year old, but only one of the occupants suffered minor injuries.
