The Bowling Green Fire Department is getting several new fire trucks.

There are currently six fire stations in the area and officials say there will soon be seven, so the need is growing for more engines as well.

One rescue engine, four additional engines, and an aerial truck will arrive later this week.

The new trucks will replace frontline aging ones, that will be either be traded in, or put into their reserve fleet.

Two of the Bowling Green Fire Department's current fleet trucks will be auctioned off on a later date.

The Bowling Green Fire Chief says when the new fire trucks arrive, they will be equipped and go into service.
