Teenage girls descended on Pompano Beach hoping to lay down an early foundation for their collegiate athletic careers at the annual BeachDig Florida College Recruiting Showcase. Many of the aspiring beach volleyball players put their summer vacations on hold to take advantage of making an indelible impression on the college coaches in attendance.

About 130 players attended the all-day session that started with a College Coaches Clinic, which gave the players an opportunity to learn some important skill development lessons from some of the top Division I coaches in the country.

The Showcase Tournaments featured U14, U16 and U18 age divisions, which allowed the coaches in attendance a chance to scout the players in action.
