MA Weather Forecast: Snow Or No?

A messy Tuesday could be in store, but it probably won't result in any accumulation.

It looks like Tuesday, which at one point was supposed to be the worst of a small splurge of April storms, will dodge any significant snowfall. But it's still going to be another messy morning.

The latest forecasts from the National Weather Service don't call for any accumulating snow in Central or Eastern Massachusetts, though a dusting should stop just west of 190. The morning is expected to feature an uncomfortable mixture of rain and wet snow.

There could be more snow than expected if temperatures dip below freezing. Right now the morning lows are straddling the freezing line, but there is low confidence of any accumulation. The majority of precipitation is expected between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

We could get a welcome break from this back-and-forth weather with Friday temperatures into the 60s and a possible 70-degree Saturday.

The forecast for Marathon Monday isn't looking snowy or too hot. But it's looking increasingly likely that it could be very wet. More on the Patriots Day forecast to come as we get closer to April 16.
