ODESSA, Texas — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Department arrested 29-year-old Odessa resident Jonathan Roy Dawkins on Monday for a capital murder charge in connection with a shooting early Monday morning.
Authorities say that the incident took place near the intersection of East 15th St. and North Dixie Blvd. just after 3:30 early Monday morning.
Officials say Dawkins shot the victim multiple times and fled on foot.
Dawkins was arrested and taken into custody in San Angelo on Monday afternoon.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the San Angelo and Odessa police departments and the Texas Rangers in the arrest.
