DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine announced the launch of Truespan meniscal repair system, a knee arthroscopy solution created to simplify meniscal repair and to make arthroscopy surgeries more reproducible in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

According to a press release, the meniscal repair system streamlines arthroscopic repair by providing a delivery system with an ergonomic handle, single trigger and auto-reloading mechanism for one-handed use. The system also features a depth stop and rigid needle to avoid jamming and to protect implants and sutures.

“We are excited to offer the Truespan all-inside meniscal repair device to our customers to support them in their delivery of reproducible procedures and improved operating room efficiencies,” Torbjorn Sköld, vice president of DePuy Synthes Europe, Middle East and Africa Joint Reconstruction, said in the release.
