LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – On Wednesday, President Donald Trump address the American Veterans convention in Louisville at the Galt House.

More than 2,500 veterans attended the 75th national convention.

During his speech, President Trump touched on veterans issues including Veterans Affairs hospitals.

The president also expressed his support for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Governor Matt Bevin (R-Ky.).

At the end of his speech, he signed a memorandum eliminating student debt for 25,000 permanently disabled veterans.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – President Trump is heading to Kentucky for two separate events Wednesday.

The American Veterans announced the president will address more than 2,500 veterans at their 75th national convention at the Galt House in Louisville.

Watch a live stream of the event in the video player above. The president was scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. CT, but he is expected to be about an hour late.

AMVETS says the president will talk about his administration’s ongoing efforts concerning military veterans, which is open to all of its members.

Trump will then headline a private fundraiser for Governor Matt Bevin’s re-election campaign.
