Huws Gray Alliance

Goalkeeper Alex Ramsay plundered an injury-time equaliser to preserve Huws Gray Alliance leaders Caernarfon Town's long unbeaten run in a 1-1 home draw with Rhyl.

The Lilywhites had led since Alun Webb lashed in a sixth-minute opener and the Canaries' last throw of the dice saw Ramsay race upfield for a 92nd minute corner.

Rhyl, who had defended superbly throughout, failed to clear Nathan Craig's flag-kick and former Lilies glovesman Ramsay produced a razor-sharp striker's finish to send the home fans wild as Caernarfon made it 16 undefeated.

The visitors began really well at The Oval and edged ahead when Webb turned the last defender, latching onto a fine delivery from Jordan Barrow and blasted into the roof of the net.

The rest of the first half was average fare, with Town's final ball constantly lacking and Rhyl unsettling the home team's rhythm very effectively.

Caernarfon's best chance saw Jamie Breese's high hanging cross from the right land nicely onto the head of Kevin Lloyd, but Rory Crowther was able to save quite comfortably.

The second half saw the Cofis up their attacking effort while the Lilies always looked dangerous on the counter.

Gareth Edwards' exquisite ball into the box was nicely controlled by Lloyd, but Crowther was out quickly to smother the danger.
