Terry Jenstead

Terry James Jenstead, 72, of Moorhead, MN, died peacefully Friday, September 7, 2018, surrounded by family in his home, while receiving amazing hospice (Red River Valley) care.

Terry was born in Westhope, ND on March 29, 1946. His parents were Anford and Evelyn Jenstead of Antler, ND. After graduation from Dakota Lutheran in Minot, ND, Terry started his career in sales management for an array of goods and services. He retired as a manager from Snyder Drug in Minneapolis, MN in 1972.

Terry married Ruby Jean Savig on November 1, 1969 at St. Francis Xavier in Lake Park, MN. They lived in Minneapolis until they moved to Moorhead, MN in 1974. They have lived in Dilworth, MN and Moorhead, MN ever since.

Terry stayed busy with his passions of community involvement with the Cub Scouts, Dilworth Lions Club and the MS Society. He enjoyed spreading his cheer while volunteering at nursing homes.

Terry is survived by his loving and caring wife Ruby, sons; Jason of Harwood, ND, Wade (Donna) of Roswell, GA and Adam (Jolisa) of Sabin, MN, grandchildren; Megan, Nate (Michaela), Jared, Mason, Luke, Alex and Carter, and great-grandchildren; Mari, Keagan and Max.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents; Anford and Evelyn, mother in law (Marie Savig) and sisters; Phylis Ronning and Beverly Bell.

The funeral will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN on Saturday, September 15th. The visitation will be at 9:00 am and the service will be at 10:00 am. The burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Lake Park, MN.
