CT Man Arrested, Accused of Assaults in Two States
The investigation started with a domestic dispute in Dutchess County.
AMENIA, NY — A man wanted by State Police on multiple charges related to a domestic dispute was apprehended in Amenia Wednesday.
Raymond C. Sprague III, 28, of Sharon, CT was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and second-degree criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.
State Police began an investigation of a domestic dispute incident involving Sprague in the Town of North East September 3.

On September 26, the Connecticut State Police in Canaan investigated another dispute involving Sprague that occurred in the Town of Sharon.
As a result of that second incident, the Connecticut State Police obtained an arrest warrant for him on assault-related charges.

A joint investigation between New York and Connecticut state police led to Sprague being located in a Town of Amenia residence where he was taken into custody.
He wa arraigned in the Town of North East Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jaill in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
Sprague was scheduled to appear in court again September 30.
Police said the Connecticut arrest warrant has been lodged with the Dutchess County Jail.
