The 2018 Kansas State Fair's last day was Sunday, and by early afternoon Monday, almost all of the rides and businesses were packed up and off of the fairgrounds.

People were coming in to pick up their entries including Betty Jantz who drove in from Cimarron to pick up her daughter's entries. Kae Bryant drove in from Ensign, Kansas to pick up her Halloween embroidered wool artwork on a metal tray.

The Bullet Train midway ride was being dismantled using a crane and the other midway rides were on semi-trucks ready for their next event.

Some of the larger display items such as agricultural equipment, lawn mowers, hot tubs and large decorative artwork were still waiting to be loaded. Exhibit buildings such as the Pride of Kansas had their hanging curtains down and empty boxes were stacked against the wall in the Eisenhower Building.

Most of the golf carts that were used during the fair were parked along Gottschalk Park ready to be picked up.

The next Kansas State Fair will be held Sept. 6 - 15, 2019, and will have Robin Jennison as the new general manager.
