The North Dakota State University women's golf team finished fourth out of 11 teams at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Southern Utah University Friday, March 16, at Sunbrook Golf Club.
NDSU posted round scores of 316 and 293 for a 36-hole team score of 33-over par 609.
Wyoming claimed the team championship with a two-round 22-over par 598, while South Dakota State finished second at 24-over par 600. Host Southern Utah completed the top-three, placing third with a 31-over par 607.
Senior Natalie Roth finished tied for second with a 36-hole 1-over par 145 (74-71) to lead North Dakota State, while sophomore Sierra Bennion tied for ninth at 7-over par 151 (78-73), rounding out the top-10 finishers for NDSU.
Freshman Taylor McCorkle tied for 24th with a 36-hole 12-over par 156 (81-75), and fellow freshman Alexis Thomas tied for 26th at 13-over par 157 (83-74).

Junior Emma Groom wrapped up the Bison scoring, tying for 46th with a two-round 17-over par 161 (86-75).
North Dakota State also had two golfers competing as individuals in the tournament in sophomore Camryn Roadley and senior Trisa Hutchinson. Roadley finished tied for 16th at 9-over par 153 (78-75), and Hutchinson tied for 38th with a 15-over par 159 (81-78).
South Dakota State's Sydney Bormann earned individual medalist honors after carding a two-round even-par 144.
The Bison are slated to wrap up the regular season at the Kansas City Shootout April 9-10 at Creekmoor Golf Course in Raymore, Mo.
