Nancy Marie Scott Harris

Nancy Marie Scott Harris, 50, of Woodlawn, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018. She was born September 11, 1968 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, daughter of Danny Scott and Carolyn Sue Harrell Johnston. Nancy was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She earned her nursing degree from SEARK College. She was an LPN for Health Care Plus for many years with Dr. Alexander. Nancy also worked for several area nursing homes. Nancy loved the outdoors, primarily being on the beach. She traveled to Pensacola Beach for many years with her family. Nancy was an adventurous daredevil who loved to parasail and skydive. She also had a gentle heart, particularly for kids. She rarely met a stranger and particularly enjoyed taking in kids and dogs who needed help. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pete and Helen Harrell; grandparents, Roy and Deneatrice Scott; and mother-in-law, Mary Leah "Puddie" Harris. Survivors include her husband, William "Will" Harris; children, Trent Harris, Mattie Harris, Sarah Harris and Ashlyn Harris; sister, Susan Scott-Havens; father, Danny Scott (Vickie); mother, Sue Johnston; nieces, Olivia and Claire Havens; and father-in-law, Donald Harris Sr. A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend John Landis officiating.
