Two hurt in crash near Erie

MORRISON, Ill. — Two people were injured when the motorcycle they were on collided with a vehicle near Erie, Illinois on Saturday.

The crash occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. at Illinois 78 and Moline Road.

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the motorcycle, Tracy L. Bohm, 54, of Manito, Illinois drove through a stop sign at the intersection and drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by Brian A. Kuster, 58 of Dixon, Illinois.

Bohm and his passenger, Anita G. Bohm, 50 of Manito, were transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling, Illinois by Erie ambulance and then were airlifted to OSF St. Anthony in Rockford, Illinois.

Emergency crews from Prophetstown and Lyndon, Illinois and Rick's Towing all assisted at the scene.
