Shaanti Michele Sweet, daughter of Randy and Sheli Sweet of Kalama, and Francis Eire Ford, son of Holly Ford of Eugene, Ore., were married May 14, 2016.
The ceremony was held at The Foundry at Oswego Pointe in Lake Oswego, Ore. and began with the officiate giving a spot-on rendition of The Princess Bride nuptials scene.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Aanjulena Sweet as maid of honor, and friends, Jessica Stillwell of Woodland, Wash., and Vanessa Naldrett of Eugene as bridesmaids. Jocelyn Stillwell, goddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl.
The best (wo)man, Lida Ford, daughter of the groom, was joined by brothers of the groom Timothy Ford of Methuen, Mass., and Angus Ford of Royal Oak, Md., and friend of the groom, Tristan Whitrock of Springfield, Ore.
The reception, also held at The Foundry, was highlighted by the traditional dances, a breakfast buffet for dinner, and the maid of honor’s speech (disclaimer: the MOH wrote this).
