Like looking in a mirror. Tristan Thompson posted a photo that proves his resemblance to daughter True, 15 months, days after his ex-girlfriend, Khloé Kardashian, spoke out about her feelings toward him following their February split.
“Twins,” the Cleveland Cavaliers center, 28, captioned the Friday, July 19, Instagram pic, which showed him and True playing together. He added prayer, heart-eye and praise-hands emojis.
Earlier this week, Kardashian, 35, addressed speculation that she has a problem with her daughter’s similarity to Thompson. “I know Khloé hates Tristan but Baby True starting to look just like him,” an Instagram user wrote on Wednesday, July 17.
The Revenge Body host clarified not only her view on the pair’s resemblance but also the lack of animosity between her and the athlete. “Why would I ever hate anyone who helped create such an angel?” she replied. “People make mistakes but I won’t hurt my own healing by holding on to hate. I’m too busy raising my beautiful baby and securing that [money] to hate any individual. Sweet True has always looked like her daddy. She’s beautiful!”
Kardashian and Thompson broke up in February after more than two years of dating following his cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods. He previously was unfaithful with multiple women while the reality star was pregnant with their first child together.
The Good American cofounder told Us Weekly exclusively whom True favors when it comes to her personality. “She dresses way better than I do and she looks just like her dad, but she acts, I think, just like me,” she said earlier this month. “She’s crazy, basically. She’s just silly and she’s not shy. How I was as a kid is very much how True is.”
As for their coparenting relationship, Kardashian pointed out her flexibility, despite inevitable hiccups. “I think Tristan and I broke up, like, five months ago, so it’s still sometimes awkward, but I think we’re both doing a really good job,” she explained to Us. “I mean, whenever he wants to see her, he can.”
