Former Pacer Marquis Daniels injured in car accident

Former Pacers forward Marquis Daniels was involved in a car accident Saturday night in Auburn, Ala., according to a report by AL.com

Daniels was transported to Birmingham for surgery, which is said to have been successful. Daniels is currently serving as the director of player development for the Auburn men's basketball team.

In his three seasons with the Pacers, Daniels started 48 games and averaged a career-best 9.6 points per game. Over the course of his 10-year career, Daniels also played for the Mavericks, Celtics and Bucks, averaging 7.9 points per game.
