It was a great night for softball and several teams took part in the Adaptive Softball Championship games in Fargo.

The league consists of about nine teams, with players range ranging in age from 16 and up. Players from across the state traveled to take part.

The teams are sponsored or partnered by different organizations around North Dakota. The league plays about seven regular season games, with the championship games making it about nine total.

Kim Miller is a mother of one of the players. She says, “So much of their lives they haven't had the chance to participate in a sporting event or anything like. This kind of atmosphere brings out the best in all of them."

Adam Thorondset coaches one of the teams. He says saying the athlete perform is extra special to him for what it has brought to his everyday life. "They've taught me patience, they've taught me how to actually coach people that want to learn."

The games are sponsored by the Fargo Park Sistrict.
