June Elizabeth Allen, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, where she was a resident. She was the widow of the late Edward Nixon Allen who died in 2013. Born in Scipio Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Corrine (Rowley) Hall. June was a retired administrative assistant for McCloskey Paint & Varnish and Occidental Petroleum of New Jersey. Her hobbies included oil painting and reading, and she greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is one son, Rev. Earl G. Brown III (Katharine) of Effingham IL; two stepsons, Edward N. Allen, Jr. (Suzanne) of Cream Ridge, NJ, Robert D. Allen (Cathy) of Altamont, NY; two stepdaughters, Catherine Rokoski (Michael) of Quakertown, Carol Jean Covino, Clifton, NJ; three grandchildren, six step grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and three sisters, Doris Love, Rochester, NY, Betty Stark, Cortland, NY, and Helen Warner, DeRuyder, NY. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
