OWENTON, KY (FOX19) - Funeral arrangements have been announced for two sisters, 2 and 4, killed in a weekend mobile home fire.

McDonald and New Funeral Home in Owenton will cover the costs of the funerals. Funeral home operators said they met Monday morning with the family. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 followed by the funeral service.

A Go Fund Me page set up for the family has raised $9,220 so far . More details at this link.

Kentucky State Police said the girls' mother was at work and father was sleeping inside the mobile home when the fire broke out around 9:40 a.m at 900 Gaines Village.

Neighbors alerted the father, who escaped through a window, said Trooper Josh Lawson.

The father tried to go back inside the mobile home, but flames and smoke were too heavy.

The girls did not make it out.

Officials say no foul play is suspected and there are no pending criminal charges.

The cause remains under investigation.

McDonald and New Funeral home is located at 248 West Seminary Street in Owenton.
