Uber Update Aims To Make LaGuardia, JFK Trips Easier

Uber launched the new feature, which lets riders select their airline on the app, for just nine airports across the country on Monday.

QUEENS, NY -- Uber is testing out an app upgrade to make airport trips with the ride-sharing service a bit easier, and Queens' LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy airports are among the first in the nation to test it out.

The feature, which launched Monday for both Queens airports, will let riders to select their airline in the app when they enter LaGuardia or JFK as their destination and show their driver the corresponding door to drop them off at, an Uber spokesman told Patch.

The seemingly small update is meant to give riders more accurate pricing and estimated arrival times for their ride. It also aims to make the ride itself less stressful by no longer putting the pressure on them no navigate the driver to their terminal and door while in the car, the spokesman said.
