Police are increasing neighbourhood patrols after thieves forced open the front door of a home and stole jewellery and iPads in the middle of the day.

Between 10am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, August 2, the offenders broke into a property in Trowley Rise, Abbots Langley, and searched inside.

They stole two sets of wedding and engagement rings, a curb link heavy gold necklace, square gold pendant earrings, a Chanel large gate bracelet, a signet ring, a Tag watch, gold memorial coins, two iPads, four iPad Minis and Euros.

Investigator Kevin Deudon said: “This burglary happened during the daytime so I am appealing for anyone who was in the area between the times stated and believes they saw anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, to get in touch as you may have information that could assist our investigation.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who has been offered jewellery matching the descriptions for sale in suspicious circumstances.

“Significant enquiries have been carried out following the burglary and patrols have been increased in the local area.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kevin Deudon on 101.
