Chris Lake & Anna Lunoe – Stomper

Many commercial dance fans know Chris Lake from his 2014 big room smash “Boneless” with Steve Aoki and Tujamo, however the UK garage and deep house seen knows the UK beatsmith for his other refined cuts. Recently gravitating more towards his subterranean side lately, Chris Lake has been establishing himself not as just a name in deep house but a force. Teaming up with Australian favorite, Anna Lunoe, the international pair turn back the clock with a retro, old-school house collaboration titled “Stomper.”

Looping Lunoe’s eerie lyrics to gradually set the track’s dusky tone, a cloud of acid house, techno, and garage swiftly begins to brew until the two producers unload a groove-driving lead composed of sharp synth jabs and gashing bass hollows. “Stomper” is a concrete example of both Lunoe and Lake’s recognition of the modern house scene’s growing hunger for old-school meets new-school offerings.
