Claremont Hyundai Announces Grand Prize Winner of a Hyundai Elantra

On Thursday, March 15, Claremont Hyundai selected a winner to receive a Hyundai Elantra. The winner was randomly chosen from more than fifteen thousand entries. The wiinner was presented with a new Elantra on March 29^th.

“It’s our way of saying ‘Thank you’ to the warm welcome we have received from the city of Claremont and from the surrounding communities,” said Morris Chestnut, Co-Owner at Claremont Hyundai. “We wanted to give something back to the community and make a positive impact in someone’s life. And what better way to do that than by giving away a new car?”

Grand Opening

Claremont Hyundai recently celebrated its Grand Opening on November 30^th, 2017. Several hundred guests attended the event and enjoyed raffles, prizes, food, video games and other family-friendly activities. Hundreds stood in line to enter their names into a drawing for the brand new Elantra.

“The new Claremont Hyundai has something for everyone,” said Morris Chestnut. “We offer a wide selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, a beautiful showroom and an impressive service department on a 60,000+ square-foot facility.”

Minority Owned

Claremont Hyundai is part of Martin Automotive Group and is co-owned by Morris Chestnut and Michael Martin. Morris Chestnut is an African-American actor for films and TV, including Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, Boyz in the Hood, Being Mary Jane, and others.

Michael Martin has more than 25 years experience in the automotive dealership business. “As dealers, as minority dealers, we need to make sure we’re sitting at the table when decisions are being made,” Martin says. “Regarding minority advertising, regarding the program, regarding all of it. We want to sit at the table and say, ’Listen, we have a voice.’” In 2015, Martin Automotive Group was named the 2015 Black Enterprise Auto Dealer of the Year.
