Michael Schumacher Condition Latest Update: Popular Driver Getting Better, Wife Corinna Makes Public Appearance

It's been eight months since legendary Formula One champion Michael Schumacher's accident on the French slopes, and just recently his wife Corinna made a rare public appearance. She graced the Equestrian Games in Caen, France, which gave rise to speculation that her husband's condition was improving.

Corinna Schumacher, who is an official brand ambassador of the event, is said to have put on a brave face for the outing. Wearing a pair of blue jeans and a khaki jacket, 45-year-old Corinna appeared quite at ease with herself as she smiled and had a chat with the spectators.

Married to the seven-time Formula One champion for 19 years, Corinna is an enthusiastic rider as well as horse-lover. She not only raised horses at the couple's Texas ranch, but also developed it into a multi-million-pound business. Last month, the organizers named Corinna as a key face of the championship.

Corinna Schumacher spoke about Michael's accident for the first time in July sharing the news that her husband's condition is "getting better."

Encouraged by Michael Schumacher's signs of recovery, she had then said, "It's getting better," adding, "Slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving."

In June, Michael came out of a medically-induced coma and was subsequently moved from a hospital in Grenoble, France, to a rehab clinic near his Swiss home.

Meanwhile, some reports said that the Switzerland-born rider and mother-of-two "spent millions turning part of the family mansion into a medical suite so her husband can return home."

Corinna also decided to sell off Michael's private jet, which flew the former Formula One driver between 300 hours and 400 hours each year across the world when he was active as Formula One driver. Even now the jet features Michael's initials on the tailplane, and is been put on market at £15 million.
