Rebecca Duncan and Kaylee Stevens combined for nine strikeouts and allowed no hits Friday in a 14-0 five-inning win over San Luis Obispo at the Arroyo Grande softball tournament.

Jules Trombley and Lacee Smollen each homered for Royal (12-5), which advanced to today’s semifinals. Trombley drove in three runs.

Duncan allowed only four hits and struck out 10 in five innings in the Highlanders’ 7-1 opening-round win over Cabrillo.

Trombley went 2 for 2 with a double two runs scored and an RBI and Taylor Ginther was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

Moorpark 5, Nipomo 4 >> Amanda Lorenz went 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for the Musketeers, who pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the seventh on a Serena Romero fielder’s choice to advance to the semifinals at Arroyo Grande tournament.

Romero added a double and two RBIs, with Lexi Curt adding a double and an RBI for Moorpark (14-3), which has won 11 in a row.

Kassidy Simons homered and drove in two runs, in addition to pitching a three-hitter for the Musketeers in a 6-0 win over Paso Robles.

Erika Hansen went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs for the Musketeers.

El Camino Real 8, Pleasant Grove (Utah) 0 (6 inn.) >> Emma Jackson pitched a one-hitter, striking out five to help the Conquistadores (14-1) rebound from their first loss to post a victory at the Spring Jamboree Tournament in Las Vegas.

Lucy Yang was 3 for 4 with a triple, an RBI and one run scored and McKenna Arriola was 3 for 4 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Zoe Shaw was 3 for 4 with three RBIs.

In the first game, ECR lost to Nevada’s Palo Verde 4-3.

Lauren Pascual pitched a five-hitter, striking out one.

Arriola was 3 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs and Brittney Hyman was 2 for 3.

Chaminade 9, Schurr 2 >> The Eagles improved to 2-0-1 at the Spring Jamboree Tournament in Las Vegas. Chaminade (10-5-1) tied Liberty 5-5 in its opener and defeated Lincoln 3-2.

Boys volleyball

Burbank 3, Arcadia 0 >> Joseph Servin had 12 kills and 15 digs to lead the Bulldogs (14-2, 7-1 Pacific) to a 25-19, 26-24, 25-22 victory. Paul Shin contributed 11 digs and Peter Jang recorded 33 assists.

Crescenta Valley 3, Hoover 0 >> John Tae had nine kills and two aces, with Bradley Fernandez adding five kills and three aces in the 25-21, 25-13, 26-24 Pacific League win for the Falcons (15-2, 5-2). Brandon Knight had seven kills for Hoover (1-15, 0-9).

Baseball

Crescenta Valley 6, Hoover 0 >> The Falcons (12-7, 5-1 Pacific) scored all six runs in the fourth, with Jimmy Smiley, Adrian Damla and Bryan Wang driving in runs.
