Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has refused to label his side as ‘favourites’ to win Serie A.

The Coppa Italia winners finished third in the 2013/2014 season, 24 points behind champions Juventus.

Speaking in a press conference, Benitez revealed that Chilean international Eduardo Vargas will be part of his setup in the coming season after spending the second half of the 2013/2014 season on loan at Spanish outfit Valencia.

“He [Vargas] is a player I like,” he said. “He must get used to how things go at the club, though.

“It’s not easy to regain confidence, but we will help him”.

The Spaniard then went on to dismiss claims that his side are favourites to win Serie A, saying that Juventus and Roma have a bigger chance of winning the Scudetto.

“Everyone has labelled Napoli as favorites to win Serie A,” he said. “However, this is not the case.

“The favorites remain Juventus and Roma who finished above us last season.

“We also must not forget the other strong teams like Inter, AC Milan, and Fiorentina”.
