IPv6 wont work, I flushed, reset, renewed DNS settings. I also did winsock resets also I reinstalled the driver for the ralink RT5390. I have an HP pavilion G6 windows 7. I cannot connect to the internet.

And yes I have tried turning it off and on(both my router and laptop)

Thanks for any suggestions :)

There are in fact several benefits to utilizing ipv6, even in a home environment.
They are sometimes very specific however broadly saying there is absolutely no benefit is not accurate either.

Actually I have noticed many providers such as comcast are allowing ipv6 dhcp resolution to their modem/routers. This is resulting in a higher number of clients using ipv6 in a home environment. Even to reach external sources such as google ipv6 is becoming more common in home networking.

In this case however, it is likely that you are correct that this user does not need ipv6 in particular.

So the question is still then, is there any reason in particular you are trying to use ipv6? There are several functions which ipv6 can employ and knowing exactly what you are trying to do will help us find the best answer for you.

Also, does ipv4 work still?

Well it was always on and suddenly stopped, I haven't installed any new programs and Google chrome is giving me the error message DNS_PROBE_FINISHED NXDOMAIN. Although I reset everything to do with DNS. Could it be a hardware problem?
