A pensioner from Aughnacloy who was critically injured after a burglary has been discharged from hospital.

Pat Davidson, aged 83, was left for dead in the garden of her home at Sydney Street by four attackers on Tuesday, January 23.

She was found lying beneath an upstairs window by a local man.

Officers believe the victim may have fallen from the bedroom window while trying to escape as her house was ransacked during a burglary.

She was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital and then moved to Craigavon Area Hospital.

A spokesperson for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust told the Belfast Telegraph Ms Davidson had been discharged from the hospital last week.
